We will meet our NATO pledge to spend 2.5% of GDP on defence through an honest, whole-of-government audit to ensure every pound spent on national security is properly counted.

This principle of fairness will extend to our allies: UK Protectorates will be required to contribute financially for their defence, and we will renegotiate our security pact with Ireland to ensure a more equitable arrangement.
