The Apprenticeship Levy is a UK tax introduced in 2017 to fund apprenticeship training. It applies to large employers and is designed to boost investment in skills and workforce development.

  • The levy raises approximately £3.5 Billion per year
  • Around 19,000 employers contribute to the levy
  • Funds are held in digital accounts and must be used within 24 months, or they are reclaimed by HM Treasury
