To secure our energy future and create jobs, we must grant new North Sea oil and gas licenses. This is a matter of both energy security and economic stability. The North Sea industry supports hundreds of thousands of jobs and generates Billions in tax revenue, which can be reinvested into our public services and green transition.

This won't derail our Net Zero goals. The oil and gas will be used anyway—the choice is whether to produce it here, supporting UK jobs and the economy, or import it from abroad.

The Labour party, influenced by figures like Ed Miliband, plans to halt all new licenses. This policy is a significant risk, threatening to offshore jobs and making the UK more reliant on foreign energy. By granting new licenses, we keep control of our energy, our jobs, and the revenue needed to build a sustainable future.
